Interesting Bass Fishing Boat ModelsAs the second largest and second fastest growing type of sport fishing in North America, bass fishing has stimulated a comparatively fast-growing fishing industry. One of the more interesting things to come from this stimulation are the various bass fishing boat models that have been designed over the past 30 years. One of the more interesting bass fishing boat models is the “Baby Bass,” which is so small and so light that it can fit in the back of a pick-up truck. While it is designed to carry over 400 pounds worth of supplies and anglers, it actually only weighs 150 pounds itself. This means that two people could easily move it off of the back of the truck and into the water without the assistance of a trailer or a crank. The whole boat, which is outfitted with a low horsepower motor, costs less than $1000. One of the more common – but less interesting – brands of bass fishing boat is the Ebbtide. These boats are traditionally made out of aluminum and can be used in conjunction with a higher horsepower motor. Additionally, they are usually somewhere around fifteen feet in length and do require some type of trailer to be transported and launched. Another one of the more interesting models of bass fishing boat is the miniature catamaran. FastCat currently manufactures a line of these boats that are generally 9 feet in length and have a double hull. Not only are they very safe, but they can be used to fish in places that would otherwise be considered to shallow for larger boats. While there are dozens of different models of bass fishing boat, you will find that many of them may be prohibitively priced. If your goal is to go fishing with only one other person (or alone), then you may want to just purchase the Baby Bass or another small bass fishing boat.
